In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, Chabad of Jamaica became a lifeline for families across the island. From the very first days following the storm, our team has been on the ground delivering food, clean water, hygiene supplies, tarps, and emergency support to communities that lost homes, electricity, and stability overnight.

As the days turned into weeks, it became clear that relief does not end when the winds stop. What began as emergency response has grown into a sustained effort to help families navigate a new and difficult reality. We continue to reach remote and underserved areas, providing essential supplies while offering something just as critical: presence, care, and human connection.

Looking ahead, our work is focused not only on immediate needs, but on long-term healing and rebuilding. This includes helping families repair and rebuild their homes, restoring community spaces, and expanding access to emotional and mental-health support for adults and children coping with trauma, loss, and uncertainty.
